For the final day of skiing on this trip, I decided to go to Sierra-at-Tahoe and then use I-50 to get back to San Francisco. There is evidence of recent snow on the beach of Lake Tahoe.

No notes were taken about the day's skiing at the time, so all I have to go on is a few photographs and the list of runs skied. The snow report records about 12" of snow in the previous 24 hours, the weather shows a temperature just above freezing, with little wind and heavy cloud cover. The skiing for the day had a very simple pattern. I took Grand View Express from the base area and then did 7 mostly easy runs from West Bowl. Some of the runs were groomed, some had been groomed the previous day. Horsetail and Clipper were slightly more challenging. I then switched back to Grand View Express spending the rest of the day on the blacks and enjoying lunch at the Grandview Grill, which has a great view back towards the Southern end of Lake Tahoe.

On the way back to San Francisco, I stopped to phone Sue just opposite Bridal Veil Falls (not the one in Utah nor the one in Yosemite).
